On behalf of the S.T.A.T.S Golf Tournament Committee, I would like to personally thank Clyde River Golf Course for coming on board as our host location again for the Eighth Annual S.T.A.T.S Charity Golf Tournament and helping us to make it such a huge success.
I am proud to announce that this year’s S.T.A.T.S Charity Golf Tournament raised more proceeds for the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island then any other S.T.A.T.S Tournament thus far.
It was a highlight of my tournament to have an organization like Clyde River Golf Course behind us as supporters and host for this event. It makes such a huge difference to have such a beautiful course as our host location and to have such organized, personable and reliable staff to count on in the organization process.
I especially want to thank you, Ozzie and Darren, for taking the time to meet with myself and my committee members and for going above and beyond in accommodating us to make this a successful day. Please extend my thanks to your staff for their professionalism, friendliness and kindness towards myself and my committee and all those that participated in the golf tournament that day.
It was fantastic to work with such generous, helpful and pleasant staff and golf course managers. A huge thank you to all of you for that!
The 8th Annual S.T.A.T.S (Swinging Together Always to Support) golf event which was held Saturday, June 25th was an enormous success this year and was a wonderful day of fun and fundraising will all proceeds going to the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that is characterized by problems in the areas of communication, behaviour and social development. Autism is the most common neurological disorder affecting children and one of the most common developmental disabilities affecting young Canadians.
Overall the tournament raised $29,000 dollars for the Autism Society of PEI. This is the largest annual fundraiser for the Society. All proceeds from this event will assist the Autism Society of PEI with providing continued supports, family events, services, advocacy workshops and training seminars for all those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder living on Prince Edward Island.
